Well I really understimated just how much a small bone can hurt when it fractures. The swelling around my thumb is horrendous and seems to just keep swelling! The doc did tell me that it would happen but I guess I didn't believe him. Of course the smart thing to do would be to stay in the warm with my injured hand splinted and resting on a pillow but unfortunately my misery became so great that only a good dose of George would fix it. So I went to see him up at the farm and we had cuddles. He sniffed my poorly hand in a most delicate way and was extremely careful around me. I couldn-t do much although I did skip him out and fluff his hay in his haybar with my good hand! Mags' Mum Jane emptied the skip bucket for me then told me off!
I also gave himself his ball to play with (I put pony nuts in and he rolls it around until they fall out so he can eat them) and he seemed perfectly content when I left him.
My hand throbs badly at the moment and I'm sure my jaunt upto the stables hasn't helped but mentally I feel so much better!
I will go now cos typing is slow and hurt inducing!

Well, the weather finally got me. Right at the end of my shift today (8 minutes left) I managed to slip whilst seeing my train away from Beeston station and as my legs went from under me I tried to grab hold of the rail on the side of the train. Instead of that though I flailed about a bit and smacked the side of the train.
The result? A fractured scaphoid and four hours in the Queens medical centre in Nottingham.
It is now splinted and I have to the fracture clinic on wednesday for them to re X-ray it and make a final decision as to whether it needs plastering. Bloody Hell!!!
Oh and it hurts. A LOT!!

Well, the predicted heavy snow did not materialise last night or today. We had a few flurries but nothing major. In fact, the temp actually reached a whopping 5 degrees today and the snow actually started to thaw. Wooooohoooooooo maybe I will be riding again soon!
George is fab though. He got two playtimes with his best mate Mags today. He was very playful this morning and had us in stitches when he sneakily nipped Mags on his knee and then legged it as fast as he could. It was just like watching a naughty kid poke his sister then run off before she could thump him one! It was great to see the boys play. They had fun and we got nothing done cos we were stood watching them!
He had the pleasure of his Daddy being with him today. Rich took care of George whilst I mucked out etc. I left the yard early-ish as I was going to my mums but Rich stayed with George for a good hour when he came in. You know, nothing special, they just hung out together in the stable! Ahhhh my boys are just fab. Human and equine!

Bloody hell it's cold today! I really feel I should make an effort to post everyday since it's 30 years since we had weather like this!
We got about another two inches of snow last night and it froze almost immediately. I would say we have about 7 inches of lying snow up at the farm although we have kept the yard itself pretty much cleared.
Ok, some positive things about the snow.
For one, working the trains is extremely pretty. Because of the speed and weight of the trains, we disturb the lying snow as we speed past and this creates sort of a swirly snow vortex which, when the sun is shining, turns it into a shimmering, sparkling snowglobe effect behind the train. Because I have access to the back cab I get to see it. It is one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen and it literally takes my breath away!
Another happy snow event is that there is a snowman at almost every station on our route! I guess the platform staff feel a need to get creative with all the snow the scrape from the platform edges! My favourite is at East Midlands Parkway. She is a snow lady complete with voluptous boobies and a pink bikini! At Luton (one of our very busy commuter stations) they have made a terribly upstanding snow-business-man with a briefcase, furled unbrella and a bowler hat. All our snow-passengers along the route make us smile even when we are freezing our whistles off on the platforms!
The trains are standing up well to the icy weather although they are literally dripping icicles. The only problem I have encountered all week is a coach with no lighting as the battery isolator had tripped as the demand for heat was more than it could cope with. But it was mended and caused us no delay. At the moment I feel proud to do my job knowing that we are getting people to work when the roads are crap and dangerous. :-)
My boy is still fine and dandy. He had a play in the snow this morning. It was snowing heavily and he got really excited and cavorted about for half an hour as the snow swirled aroind him.
I have to say that despite all the disruption and misery the snow can cause, in my opinion it is natures finest gift. To make ordinary objects look magical and sparkle with a million diamonds is something I will never tire of seeing. To watch my horse snorting great clouds of steam through his nostrils like some sort of mythical beast while he bucks and rears through the sheer joy of being out in this wonderful, soft, white covering makes all my problems melt away. Sometimes the beauty transcends the hassle it causes.
There. A happy snow post! Mind you, my feet are quite cold right now! ;-D

Ok, officially it is cold here. The lowest recorded temperature last night was in Scotland and was -22.7
Colder aparently than Finland and Norway! Here in Derbyshire it is a much more balmy -5 at the moment. Yippee! Think I might throw my bikini on!
The cold and snow and ice bring challenges to everyone although we are doing fine. George is warm and toasty and seemingly enjoying all the extra attention he is getting from his human minions and even when turned out into the menage he just plods about. No pent-up energy there then *G*
I do off course take full credit for his happy state and there is a marked difference in the horses whose owners are doing the bare minimum then getting the hell home back into the warm. Warm is good - horse is more important.
The trains are running well with only minor disruption. I'm sure the media are gnashing their teeth over this as they just love to put the boot into the railways. *blows raspberry at press*
Rich and I were very community spirited on Wednesday and went to check on an elderly lady who lives down the street. We don't know her except to say hello to, but know she lives alone with her cat.
Unbelievably no one had checked on her and she hadn't been able to get out to get milk, bread and other such stuff. We have a local store but the pavements around us are ICY and even I have almost slipped down several times. So we went and got her some shopping and left her our number should she need anything. She was very grateful. :)
To other countries we must appear complete wusses but we are simply not used to this prolonged a stretch of snow, cold and ice. This is the worst winter weather we've had since 1981 and coupled with the fact the met office predicted a warm, wet winter, the councils haven't stockpiled anywhere near enough salt and are fast runing out.
Derbyshire has enough salt left to grit the major roads for another couple of days and then.....well, I guess they run out!
Phil my brother lives in the home counties (near London) and on Wednesday morning he couldn't get out of his front door due to almost two feet of snow pressing against it! Being a born house-breaker he got out of a window and cleared the snow.
On the one hand I love it. I walked across the fields toay and it was beautiful. On the other hand I'd quite like things to get back to normal.
No chance of that though. Heavy heavy snow and blizzard conditions with a strong eastery wind are all forcast for Sunday. Joy! :-O

Well, after a couple of weeks of kind-of-not-very-serious snow we now have real snow. Started at around lunchtime and hasn't stopped since.
We drove up to George (I didn't finish work till 3.00a.m.)to muck him out at about 12.00ish with Rich and since I can't ride, we put him in his big rug and Rich played footballwith him in the small menage whilst I did all the menial stuff!
He looked awful cute with snowflakes on his eyelashes and forelock. Rich said his rug makes him look like a tortoise. *G*
Rich left after about an hour because the snow was really starting to come down heavy and we were a bit concerned our little car would get stuck on the icy un-treated lane.
I stayed about another hour to give coddling love to my horse then walked the half hour back home through the park. It was be-oo-ti-ful!!
I must admit to finding it less beautiful now I am at work. I'm on the last train back from London tonight at 00:15 and since I don't get back to Derby till 3:00a.m. I am a little worried about getting back home. But the railway needs me so I will soldier on! Wish me luck and where ever you are have a good night :)

I am at work today and working a very odd shift. This morning I took an empty train to Corby and then back to Kettering (a journey of 9 minutes) I then went from Kettering to Corby, then Corby to Kettering and am repeating this short journey 13 times before taking the train back to Derby (empty again)
Now that is what I call an easy day! I am on my eighth journey and have only seen about 20 passengers in total. Lovely :)

He bought me the 'flu! I must have been a very bad girl this year to get the viral equivelant of a piece of coal!! I came down with it two days before Christmas and recovered sufficiently to return to work yesterday. Christmas passed in a blur of fever and sleep. But despite this I managed to open presents in bed. No Christmas lunch for me though although I packed Rich off to his parents and he had a good time.
Never mind, these things happen I guess.
So, apologies for not posting any holiday wishes to anyone on my FL and for not calling my nearest and dearest (you know who you are!) Expect calls hopefully today.
Happy New Year everyone :-D

This is the first year George has been safe and sensible enough to 'wear' stuff for human entertainment. I bought him antlers. Ok so I am strange but so what? Lots of people giggled when they saw us out hacking yesterday and I personally think that anything that can raise a smile these days should be encouraged!
So, here he is in all his seasonal glory. How cute is my horse?

We actually have a christmas saddlecloth and rein sleeves but since I am able to ride on Christmas Day this year for the first time ever, I am saving the complete ensemble for then!

Tonight at age 38 I learned a new word. Or more specifically, how to say that word. The word was 'no' and it was easier to say it than I thought!
To explain -
After already completing half my almost 12 hour shift, we started to get word that a serious signal failure was happening between two of our stations on route to London. Obviousely we can't run trains over a stretch of track with no signals. Now, most areas have a secondary route that can be used as a diversion but these diversionary routes are usually much longer than the norm.
The diversion we would have to take in this instance would add another 90 mins on to the journey to london and another 90 mins back from london.
So, my train got to leicester and I was told I would be continuing forwards around the diversion and stopping additionally at five more stations. Normally I would have accepted this as just being a particularly shit part of my job although I am not obligated to work more than a 12 hour shift for reasons of fatigue and safety issues. But, usually I would have stoically carried on.
Unfortunately I already knew that two trains had terminated and subsequently been cancelled and the crews on these trains had been sent home after working just ONE HOUR!!!!
So I said no. I refused. I put my foot down finally.
Our route controllers were shocked. GOOD!!
Of course I feel for the passengers but I blame the ineptitude of those above me who are meant to sort out problems in times of disruption and not (as it sometimes seems) to stick a pin in a list of trains as a means of deciding who should work what.
So, I am home now. I finished my day two hours early although I offered to stay until my designated book off time. Yay, I only ended up working 83 hours since my last rest day. I am going to bed now.

Forgive the lack of postings once again. I am just coming to the end of an absolutely hellish 9 day stretch at work which has seen me clock up 85 hours. I was sure that forced labour camps were only for really criminal criminals!
Aside from caring for George I have done nothing except sleep (not much of that either) and work. The good news is that finally we have a rosta change coming in next week which should pretty much see an end to the horrendous hours we have all been working for the past year.
On to other stuff - on monday I had to put George on full livery as my finish time at work on sunday night was very late, and unfortunately he was given haylage to eat instead of his usual hay. Haylage is fermented hay which is very high in sugar and is given to horses who need a bit extra in winter. Now haylage to George is heaven and he guzzles it like there is no tomorrow. He loves it. It hates him. It's like giving him five gallons of red bull!!!
So I turned up on tuesday to have what I thought would be a lovely, relaxing hack, only to find my horse was high on horsey speed! His energy level was just horrendous and I had to still hack him to get some of it out. It was a memorable hack for all the wrong reasons. He spooked, he did half rears when asked to stand, he was hyper-alert and wanted to take off everywhere. I did loads of trotting with him and he almost pulled my arms out of their sockets! It was like sitting on a ticking timebomb and even after a 90 minute hack he was still raring to go! When I got back I took him in the school and hard schooled him for another 45 minutes and only then did he start to calm down a bit! Whew I had one sweaty, steaming horse at the end of it! Thankfully, his sugar rush had subsided by yesterday and he reverted back to lovely dressge horse mode. Ack, it was really something I could have done without but these things happen.
Tomorrow is a happy day - I have three days off, I get to spend quality time with all my loved ones (Rich, mum and George) and we are having a new carpet fitted. Christmas tree trimming on saturday. Wooooohooooo nice stuff!

Please forgive the lack of posting lately - life has been hectic so lots to catch up on.
Firstly my America trip was wonderful. Did lots of laying around watching TV which actually did me the world of good and I came back so refreshed that even jet lag didn't hit after my night flight home! Catching up and spending time with my American 'family' was probably one of the most rewarding things I have done for a long time and I loved every minute of it. Rich has seen such a difference in me that he is going to help out with the flight to enable me to make it a yearly holiday. ;-)
Coming home of course was great too. It's true what they say about being away from loved ones making you appreciate them all the more when you get back.
George was so pleased to see me he actually forgot to be angry that I'd left him. In the past he has sulked for a couple of days but this time I think he would've hugged me if he could. Instead he gave me sly digs and slobbery kisses.
It's funny how his personality is changing as he gets older and it has really shown itself over the last couple of weeks. George has never much liked being out in the pasture when it's cold, wet and muddy. Unfortunately at the moment we have all three things in abundance and having heard that he was standing at the gate after only a couple of hours in the field, I decided to keep him stabled 24-7. He has a lovely stable that overlooks the yard and he is perfectly content to munch hay and nosily watch all the comings and goings whilst all warm, dry and snuggled up in his winter jammies! I ride him six days a week anyway and he is a happy horse who is enjoying life. On his day off he was meant to go in the field to stretch his legs but on Tuesday when Vick tried to turn him ouit he refused to go into the field and instead planted himself and turned his big brown eyes on her. For want of anything better to do she put him in the small outdoor school with his football and he spent a happy hour cavorting arouind like David Beckham!!! When tired of this he happily went back to his stable and recommenced the serious business of munching! He is of coirse costing me a small fortune as he is more high maintenance when in all the time, but really, if he's happy then I'm happy!
We went hacking yesterday and he was chilled out and wearing his very fetching reindeer antlers. His bravery knew no bounds when confronted with a scary tractor with OMG!!! A whirring hedge cutter attatched to it! But he carried on regardless and received much praise!
As you know I could talk about my horse all day but to move on -
We have bought a new carpet for our lounge, stairs and landing. I am ecstatic as we've had the old one since time began. Before we could get it we had to have some work done on the upstairs floorboards as they were creaking to extremes. So, they were replaced yesterday and we then hoofed it down to the carpet place and picked one out. It is gorgeous and the colour is walnut. We had the lounge decorated in a lovely soft cream so the colour should contrast really well.
Work is hectic at the moment - we have entered silly season which basically means we have many more drunks and fare evadors to contend with. Sadly it also means that instances of fatalities (both suicides and accidents) increase dramtically too. The recession obviousely plays a big part in these too as desperate people do desperate things. :-( barely a day goes by without at least one fatality on our route and as tragic as it is, from a purely practical point of view, it obviousely shuts down the affected section of the railway and causes huge disruption. I don't mean to sound callous, it's just the reality of the situation at this time of the year.
Onto happier things, I am so looking forward to Christmas this year. For the first time since I have known Richard (almost nine years) we are doing some stuff that we actually WANT to do this year instead of stuff we feel obligated to do. I mean how cool is that? :-D
I can't put the Christmas tree up until next friday as we aren't having the carpet fitted until then but in actual fact, I am working through till then anyway on mostly 10 - 12 hour shifts so I probably wouldn't have had time even without the new carpet.
Oh well, better go. Sorry about the long rambliness!

Today is my birthday and I have reached the grand old age of 38. Of course I firmly believe that age is just a number and since my brain still feels 16, all is good. Of course I wish I still looked the way I did at 16 but hey, can't have everything!
Of course my birthday is extra special this year because I am sharing it with my American loved ones and although I miss Rich, I haven't been with Pam, Mark and the kids for so many years to celebrate a 'special' day I am just loving it.
I have balloons. No one is ever too old for balloons! Not to mention a joint party for Pam and me is happening tonight. I get to see Pam's brother Tim and his wife Debbie which will be amazing as I haven't seen them for over five years.
Rich called me early this morning and gave me all the news from home and he is going to see George later to give him cuddles and kisses from his Mummy. :-)
We went out for dinner last night and had the most fabulous meal. I started with an unknown experience - butternut squash soup and Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm just yummy! I am wondering if I can reproduce it back home because it was one of the nicest soups I ever had. Followed that with fillet of beef in a mushroom, wine sauce with fall veggies (squash, parsnip and carrot) and buttery mash. I am determined to just enjoy today and tomorrow as my time to leave for home is really creeping up on me. I can't believe how fast the days have gone and I STILL have a season and a half of 'Office' to watch. Better get back to it.
Have a good day all.

I have discovered 'The Office'. I always watched the original Brit version that ran for three seasons but never bothered with the US version because I thought nothing could be as good. HOW WRONG I WAS!!!!! OMG the US version is amazing and it's easy to see how it has won so many awards. The characters have sucked me in up to my neck and I love them all! We are currently on season 3 with a couple more to go. Hey, I can easily fit those in before sunday.
Still having a wonderful time over here - done lots of kicking back and just relaxing which I didn't realise how much I needed.
But today is shopping day with Pam and Emma. Wooohooo all day shopping with the girls. Really looking forward to spending time with Emma as she has been busy busy busy and we haven't seen much of her. (plays, school, ballet etc she is one busy gal!)
Of course I miss Rich and George. Rich went to visit George and was amused when George pointedly turned his back on him. Some serious minty bribery brought him around but I am pretty sure he is saving up the real cold-shouldering for when I get there. They are both fine though and things will get back to normal pretty fast when I'm back.
Well, nothing much else to report - although I got some gorgeous soft, warm flannel PJ's yesterday and would like to wear them all day everyday for the next five years. May I? Pleeeaaaase?!
Have a good day all xx

Well, I made it the 4000 miles to be with my American family. The flight was great - only about half full so i got two seats to myself which with the length of my legs is always a good thing. The strange but quite amusing thing though is that five years later the plane food was EXACTLY the same!
Speaking of exactly the same, i saw Pam and all the years just melted away and really, it might have only been days since I'd seen her. The same with the kids, the same with Mark. How wonderful is friendship that it can sustain through such time and distance and then just pick up where it left off?
I'm having an issue with my namesake cat though - she keeps grooming me. Hmmmmmm how very random!
We're not doing too much at the moment - lots of laying around although we did decorate the front yard for Christmas yesterday. Ok so it's a little early, but we are trying to cram as many holidays and celebrations into my time here as we can! The inside tree goes up tonight.
This afternoon we are going to see Emma's play which will be wonderful as I've never seen her perform in anything so to me, it's a real treat. :-)
Of course I am missing Richard, George, the girls and all my other life stuff but I speak to Rich every day for a few minutes and get assurances that all my fur babies are ok!
Well, I guess I should go, but I will update on my American adventures more this week.
Oh and a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you Mary. So sorry I missed sending you the greetings on the day but I was up in the air for most of it. Hope you and your lil welsh witch had a fab day. {{{{}}}}

Sorry about my lack of posting for the last few days. Life is veeeery busy right now. Not only am I trying to prepare for America, I have been working long shifts, doing lots of riding and trying to spend time with Jo as she recovers. She is much better than she was both physically and emotionally and is going stir crazy and dying to get back to the yard. On her second day out of hospital we caught her in Jerry's stable giving him a cuddle and had to chase her out! The good news is that in another week or so she is allowed back on the yard to oversee things although no riding for at least another month. I went to have a cuppa with her this morning and she said it was torture to look out of her windows. She is surrounded by turn-out paddocks and if she looks toward the yard all she sees are folk either just about to ride or just finished riding. Ahhh the downside of living on-site!
It is good to see her so much more cheerful though :-)
I have had some cracking rides on George this last week and we have been really lucky with the weather. It's been really sunny and crisp the last few days and we have taken full advantage of it.
I schooled one night last week though and he was a proper scardy-horse as the floodlights were on and throwing scary welsh-cob-eating shadows everywhere and he was very spooky and erratic. He settled eventually but it wasn't a pleasant experience believe me!
Today he was VERY brave on his hack and walked past a half-dug up garden with big squares of red carpet everywhere and never turned a hair.
He did however jump three feet in the air when a squirrel came to say Hi!
I re-clipped him last week and he is MUCH happier as he was really getting quite sweaty the last couple of weeks. I have also switched him on to a straw bed for the winter which he loves as it is so snuggly.
My preparartions for my American trip are just about complete although I am hoping Pam's 'flu goes away as she is currently confined to the basement!
Well, better leave it there. My thumbs are starting to ache! I am giddy with joy that I only have today and tomorrow at work and then am off for 15 days!!!!!! :-D

Took George out for a hack this morning. Initially he was disgusted with us but had his super-duper rainsheet on and Daddy fed him copious amounts of polos along the way so he actually decided he was quite enjoying himself.
Went through Shipley woods as it is quite sheltered and wet welsh cob was behaving really well untill all of a sudden his head came up, his ears twanged forwards and he planted himself firmly with his lil cobby legs and refused to move.
I couldn't for the life of me see anything that would make him react like that as he didn't seem spooked, just hyper alert.
And then (dun dun DUN!) We heard it - a piteous howling that was plainly a cat shouting 'HALP HORSEY HUMANS, FELINE IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE!!!!!' So we followed the sound and came upon said howling cat stuck in a tree. It wasn't that high up and looked like it had tried to climb the slippery branch, slipped and wedged itself fast in the 'v' where two branches meet. It couldn't do anything cos its front and back legs were hanging in midair. Rich gave it a hand under its bum and pushed it up enough to get it down.
Ungrateful kitty then ran off without so much as a by your leave. How rude lol
So, my horse is like Lassie and can spot fellow creatures in distress! He had many more polos and pats as reward for his super spidy senses!
The rest of the hack passed off without further acts of heroism and we got back in one piece with lil welsh horse well pleased with himself!
Kept him in most of the day today as weather so foul and he plainly decided he would rather stay in when he turned his bum on me when I showed him the headcollar. Went out for a couple of hours though to have gallopy fun with the wind up his tail.
I am at my mums tonight as I try to stay with her for a night when I have a couple of days off and I am being very spoiled with a lovely roast dinner and a real log fire. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm sometimes winter is good!

Today went better than I thought. My first two trains were very uneventful despite having no staff and no ability to sell beer to the salivating public.
Only got sworn at once today which is am-a-zing for a saturday. The sweary man was pretty short lived anyway as he was only on the train for fifteen minutes. The sad thing though is that he had his five year old little boy with him who, when his Dad started swearing and shouting, put his fingers in his ears. Poor little kid is obviousely used to it and so tries to block it out. Sometimes I think people should have to have a license to have and raise kids.
On a happier note, saw lots of halloweeny people including zombies, witches, vampires, bloody corpses etc etc. The high spot of my night was definately the six foot guy who got on the train at Bedford dressed as a BANANA!!! How funny and not-very-scary is that? Such a nice guy too. He was accompanied by his obviousely long-suffering girlfriend who was more halloweeny as a witch's cat.
Funny quote of the night though came from a goth who travels regularly (big burly goth in his 40s) who told me he loves halloween as it's the only time he looks normal. Too funny!
Rich has spent the night hiding upstairs with all the lights off, reading by TORCHLIGHT!! He has an absolute loathing for trick or treaters and goes to any length to not have to deal with them. I sometimes wonder how we ever got together as we are so different. I love him though!
Am hoping to hack out in the morning but the weather is set to take a turn for the worse so it might be a wet one.
Going to bed when I get home, so 'night all :-)

I feel very put out that I am working tonight. Usually I take my triplet neices and nephews trick or treating but I have had to pass the honour to someone else this year. I have seen them in all their costumed cuteness though. Abby is a devil (very apt!) Sophie is a witch (always the traditionalist and Josh is a dead pirate (not sure where that one came from if I'm honest!) Anyway they all look fab and are ready to go faraging for goodies!
Didn't go up to George this morning but had planned not to. I have another 12 hour shift today and I am being careful not to relapse. So I had a nice lie-in then spent time getting my final bits and bobs done for my ever-looming America trip.
Have booked a hotel at the airport and arranged my insurance. I've never risked going without insurance and I was thankful for it a few years ago when I wound up in the hospital with suspected meningitis. I didn't have to pay anything as I was fully covered but I did get to see a copy of the bill sent by the hospital after the claim went through. It cost $32,000!!!!!!!!!! I would literally have had to sell my house to pay for it without insurance and can never understand why people risk going on holiday without insurance.
To cover me for this trip ($3,000,000 medical, $1,000,000 liability and £500 lost baggage) has cost me a measly £9. Money well spent imho. So I am all set and trying to keep my excitement in check!
I work today then have three rest days, work wednesday through saturday, have sunday off then work monday and tuesday. I can cope with that!
In the meantime I have to go to the opticians for new glasses, get my hair cut (I grow it long every year then around my birthday donate it to 'locks of love') and have to prepare for a pre-birtday evening for a few friends.
Busy times but busy is good. :-). Have a great Halloween all!

I am feeling better! Still felt pretty bad yesterday but managed to go up to the yard to take care of my boy. I had planned to ride but decided against it due to my weakened state. It was great just to groom and cuddle my horse who was a big ball of sloppiness because his mummy was back. :-)
I went to have tea with my Mum at her house and was so knckered I fell asleep on her couch. So, as Mums ðo sometimes, she took control, phoned Rich and told him I would be better staying the night there. (He was fine with this as he has been working nights this week)
Anyway, while I was sleeping she put some drops of olbas oil on my blanket (My Mum swears by it but I've always dismissed it as a 'cure' because I'm not fond of menthol) and OMG today I am almost cured! I also had some drops on my PJ top and it has loosened my chest so much as well as getting rid of the awful blocked-up-headachy feeling I've had all week. Guess who went to the pharmacy this morning to buy olbas oil?? (Yep that would be me!)
I rode George this morning which was lovely and then went and did my 11 hour shift. I have energy again. I feel almost back to normal.
It just goes to show that even at age 38 I have to admit that my Mum knows best. :-D
